AceShowbiz - Production on "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" seems to progress smoothly as helmer Rob Cohen has delightfully updated his official blog with few new pictures, behind-the-scenes videos, and info on the project, which is currently filming in Montreal, Canada.

The photos, one of which you can see on the left, show the first look images of cast members Brendan Fraser, Michelle Yeoh, and Isabella Leong as well as a brunette Maria Bello in her portrayal of Evelyn Carnahan-O'Connell. Fraser reprises his role as Evelyn's husband, the adventurous Rick O'Connell, while Yeoh and Leong play a female wizard and beautiful assassin, respectively.

As for update on the flick's production, Cohen informed that Jet Li has joined the cast in Montreal also revealed he has seven days to shoot the so-called "trekking through the Himalayas" sequence, where our heroes are searching for Shangri-la. Furthermore, he said shooting in the location would wrap up next Thursday, October 11 before moving to Beijing and Tian Mo, the desert three hours north of the capitol.

"We are putting the pipelines in place to create the some 700 visual effects shots: the Terracotta Army, the Yeti and much, much more (I have to leave some surprises)," he added.
