The X Files Sequel to Start Filming in December 2007, David Duchovny Said
Movie

David Duchovny has told Movieweb that the project's filmmakers are looking forward to begin shooting in December 2007.

AceShowbiz - Bringing good news to the fans of the famous sci-fi franchise, David Duchovny has let it slip in an interview with Movieweb that the follow-up to 1998's "The X Files" is being prepared for a production start this December.

"...The script is written and as far as I know we're all trying to shoot in December at some point," so the actor remarked. "We would all love it if we could keep it a secret and just give everybody a fresh experience of not knowing what the movie's about. I know if I was a fan of the show I would kind of be excited to be surprised."

Hype on the sequel began March this year when Duchovny told IESB.net that final negotiations for the project were being wrapped with he and Gillian Anderson in discussions to reprise their roles as Agent Mulder and Agent Scully, respectively. Anderson later was learned to even pull out of indie drama "Helen" after she found out that the filming of the flick clashed with the filming of "The X Files" follow-up.
