Clint Eastwood and Matt Damon Lining Up for Human Factor

Clint Eastwood is looking forward to direct while Matt Damon is in talks to star in Morgan Freeman-starred-and-produced "The Human Factor."

AceShowbiz - The latest film project Morgan Freeman is currently setting up apparently has attracted big names and a major studio to also join in. Variety has learned that Clint Eastwood is eyeing the director's chair in "The Human Factor" with Matt Damon and Warner Bros. Pictures being in talks to star in and finance, respectively.

An adaptation of John Carlin's book "The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Changed the World", the movie centers on the 1995 Rugby World Cup held in South Africa which Mandela used as a means to end decades of mistrust and hatred between whites and blacks. Damon reportedly is negotiating to play the captain of the Springboks, the South Africa national rugby union team.

Freeman has already signed on to play Mandela, the eleventh president of South Africa, as well as to produce alongside his Revelations Entertainment partner Lori McCreary and Mace Neufeld. Meanwhile, South African screenwriter Anthony Peckham has been hired to work on the screenplay.
