Faith Hill Compiling Biggest Hits and New Songs in 'The Hits'

Faith Hill's hits like 'This Kiss', 'Mississippi Girl', and 'There You'll Be' will be combined with two brand new songs in a CD called 'The Hits', due October.

AceShowbiz - Faith Hill is gathering her biggest hits to be molded into one single CD simply called 'The Hits'. The album that is due October 2 via Warner Bros will also contain two new materials titled 'Red Umbrella' and 'Lost'.

The singer who married fellow country crooner Tim McGraw explained that her hits will be presented in a "newer, different versions". She said, "It's been difficult selecting the songs for 'The Hits. But when we decided to focus on what you'd want, the decisions became much clearer. We're planning on newer, different versions of some songs and we've got a few new surprises."

She continued, "Leave it to me, I would've made a whole album of surprises, but then it wouldn't have been 'The Hits' and it wouldn't be coming out on Oct. 2nd."

Apart from the two new songs, those included in the album are 'Stronger', 'Mississippi Girl', 'Cry', 'There You'll Be', 'The Way You Love Me', 'Breathe', 'Secret of Life', 'Let Me Let Go', 'This Kiss', 'It Matters To Me', 'Piece of My Heart', 'Wild One', 'I Need You'.

'Red Umbrella' was previewed on the new season of Ellen DeGeneres Show on August 31 which was aired on Wednesday, September 5. While in the show Hill reveals how she's still mad at the crazed fan who grabbed McGraw's crotch. Showing the emotion she said, "But really, I'm from Mississippi, so what I really wanted to do is kick her you-know-what. You know what I'm saying? I mean, c'mon. I mean, how disrespectful! And plus, it's like sexual harassment."
