Owen Wilson Back at Home, Being Watched 24/7

Owen Wilson was discharged from the hospital Saturday September 1st, less than a week after his suicide attempt, and is being kept under constant observation.

AceShowbiz - Following his hospitalization last Sunday August 26th after an alleged suicide attempt, Owen Wilson was discharged from the Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this past weekend.

The actor had returned to his Santa Monica home on Saturday September 1st, less than a week after his suicide attempt, and is being kept under constant observation. "Owen is in bad mental shape but said he is thankful to be alive," a source close to the movie star tells People. "He knows he came close to ending his life, and he is happy that he was saved from himself. He is basically at home with people watching him 24/7."

Owen's representative refused to comment though.

Owen was initially rushed to St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica on Sunday August 26th after an alleged suicide attempt and later on moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Brothers Andrew Wilson and Luke Wilson, his parents and such friends as Wes Anderson and Woody Harrelson were all seen paid a constant visit to the hospital while he called for privacy during the treatment.

In another dose of bad news, it was announced on Wednesday August 29th that Owen had dropped out of the upcoming ensemble comedy "Tropic Thunder," which has been in production since six weeks ago with him supposedly was slated to begin a week-long shoot in two or three weeks.
