Ricky Martin is hailed for his 'MTV Unplugged' album that garnered him four nominations, a count less than Juan Luis Guerra's.

AceShowbiz - Ricky Martin earns four nods in this year's Latin Grammy Awards, a number beaten by veteran Latin musician Juan Luis Guerra who captures five. Talking about numbers, the next artists in line who get 3 nominations are Miguel Bose and duo Calle 13.

Martin has the 'MTV Unplugged' album that he released in November 2006 to thank for the nominations. Both the singer and the record are running for Album of the Year, Best Long Form Music Video, Record of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Album.

Meanwhile, Guerra, who is notable for his traditional sound, is up for Best Merengue Album, Best Engineered Album, Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year, all due to his 2007 effort 'La Llave de mi Corazon'. The 50-year-old singer is also going to be honored as 2007 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year.

Other notable nominees are Beyonce Knowles and Shakira who delivered the Spanish version of 'Beautiful Liar' in Beyonce's 'B'Day [Deluxe Edition]', Paulina Rubio for her collaboration with Miguel Bose in 'Nena', and Alejandro Sanz for his 2006 album 'El Tren de los Momentos'.

The eight annual Latin Grammy Awards will be aired live from Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay casino-hotel on November 8. For complete nominations log on to Grammy.com.
