Britney Spears is being investigated for possible child abuse, it has been reported.

AceShowbiz - Everything is getting even more complicated for Britney Spears. The troubled pop star who presumably failed to get her popularity back is being investigated for child abuse.
Preparing to battle her former husband Kevin Federline for custody of their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, Britney had her lawyer Dennis Wasser appeared at an unscheduled hearing Monday morning August 27th in LA County Superior Court's dependency section, which handles child abuse claims.
K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, and a lawyer for the dependency court were also present at the private hearing. No details just yet on the allegations the singer is facing but it is widely believed that the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is conducting an active investigation as the early stage on Spears and K-Fed's ongoing custody battle.
Rumor has it that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has targeted Spears following reports about her increasingly erratic behavior that could in anyway endanger her two young sons. No words just yet from either parties concerning the encounter.
In other Spears news, the mother of two had another face-off with cops when she was pulled over by highway patrol for speeding on her way to Las Vegas on Friday night August 24th. She, however, managed to get by with just a warning.
