The Killers would like Stateside fans to also hear some materials that they released in U.K. as B-sides.

AceShowbiz - On the heels of 2006's 'Sam's Town', The Killers have announced their return to the studio for third album work. Frontman Brandon Killers intends to spread their U.K. Singles to America as the B-sides of the new album that is predicted to be in stores before the end of 2008.

"In England we have a lot of B-sides that people in America would never know about because we don't have singles here," Flowers told Billboard.com. "So we have about 15 of these songs that people have never heard, and we wanted to stick them on something for people to get to have them all together."

Flowers also hinted that in foreseeable future the band will return to the '80's dance sound that they had in 'Mr. Brightside', a single appeared in the band's debut album 'Hot Fuss'. "That's something we really love and that possibly could be a third album idea," he said.

The band is currently in tour to support 'Sam's Town' and really like the idea of returning to U.S. again for there was not much time to promote the album in the country. But before that, they will release a Christmas single called 'Don't Shoot Me Santa' which is expected to be done by Dec 1. Like last year's 'A Great Big Sled', this single is hoped to be able to raise as much money for Red Campaign.

Tentative tracks in The Killers' upcoming album:

  • 'All the Pretty Faces'
  • 'Shadowplay'
  • 'Move Away' (Ost. of 'Spider-Man 3')
  • 'Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town' (Mel Tillis Cover)
