Isla Fisher Toplining Secret Dream World of a Shopaholic

"Wedding Crashers" star Isla Fisher reportedly will become the lead female in Jerry Bruckheimer -produced "The Secret Dream World of a Shopaholic."

AceShowbiz - Scoring a top billing in the flick, Isla Fisher has given her commitment to star in "The Secret Dream World of a Shopaholic", which will be the adaptation of Sophie Kinsella's bestselling novel "Confessions of a Shopaholic", JoBlo has revealed.

For the project, Fisher reportedly is set to portray Rebecca Bloomwood, a recent college graduate working as a financial journalist in New York City. All goes well in her life except for one thing: she is a shopaholic. As the bills are piling up fast, she must creatively find solutions to her mounting debt while on the same time being faced with a fact that she falls in love with a highly successful entrepreneur she is highlighting for the magazine.

Shooting is said to begin this November in New York under the direction of P.J. Hogan who will helm from a script by "The Guru" scribe Tracey Jackson with Jerry Bruckheimer serving as the producer. Hogan turns out to be no stranger to light-hearted romantic comedy genre, having worked on "My Best Friend's Wedding" which became a commercial and critical success, pulling total domestic gross of $127.12 million while being nominated for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy slot at the 1998 Golden Globe Awards.
