Movie

The second big screen installment of the sci-fi franchise now is called "Aliens vs. Predator Requiem."

AceShowbiz - Seems the follow-up to 2004's "Alien vs. Predator" has got itself a new, longer title from now on. Previously had a working title of "Alien vs. Predator: AVP2", the project has been learned to have its name changed to "Aliens vs. Predator Requiem" instead.

The new title was noticed to be mentioned in the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly of which site also listed the name in its Fall Movies Preview's Release Calendar section. Moreover, it is further learned that 20 th Century Fox as the studio producing the flick has already registered domain name of AliensvsPredatorRequiem.com that has yet to be activated.

In addition, a trailer description for the movie has delightfully appeared on the net although the particular clip has not yet got launched. Posted at JoBlo's ArrowintheHead, it starts with a shot of what looks like to be a Predator spaceship on fire that is flying towards Earth and crashing on the land before shifting to a lot of shots of the titular creatures.

Set to open this Christmas in theaters, "Aliens vs. Predator Requiem" is directed by brothers Colin and Greg Strause with Tom Woodruff, Jr. and Alec Gillis of Amalgamated Dynamics handling the special effects. From images that have surfaced, both creatures are noticed to have gone through design changes since its predecessor, including a return to the ridged-headed aliens last seen in "Aliens" and a slimmer, more athletic Predator as seen in "Predator" and "Predator 2."
