My Chemical Romance will battle Best Single and Best Album with one-year-old metal band Enter Shikari in this year's Kerrang! Awards.

AceShowbiz - U.S. act My Chemical Romance are leading the nominations of 2007 Kerrang! Awards with four nods. The band will go head to head with British metal group Enter Shikari at top nominations including Best Single and Best Album.
MCR's 'Welcome to the Black Parade' will battle in the Best Single category with Shikari's 'Sorry, You're Not a Winner'. Both are also tied against each other for Best Album for 'The Black Parade' and 'Take to the Skies' respectively.
True to their nationality, MCR and Shikari are nominated for Best International Band and Best British Band respectively. The last nomination for MCR will be Best Video for 'Welcome to the Black Parade', and for Shikari it's Best Live Band.
The nominations are based on 387,667 votes that went through Kerrang! Magazine. It was announced at Oxford Street's Virgin Megastore on Wednesday (August 8). The awards' night will take place August 23 at London's The Brewery.
Beside MCR, another U.S. outfit that is up for a big win is Fall Out Boy. The rockers are nominated for 3 categories, Best Album, Best Video and Best International Band. Meanwhile, other European acts standing the chance to take an award are Funeral For a Friend, Biffy Clyro, Muse, Machine Head and last year's big winner Lostprophets, among others.
