Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter are in hand to bring the popular 1960s animated TV series "Jonny Quest" into big screen feature.

AceShowbiz - After all the many genres, it's now time for TV based movie. In the wake of the successful summer blockbuster "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and in the anticipation of the movie's finale, producers Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter are both teaming up to bring TV series "Jonny Quest" into big screen adaptation with the intention to make it as the next big family thing.

"Jonny Quest" was a popular 1960s science fiction animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, and created and designed by comic book artist Doug Wildey. It follows the adventures of a young boy who accompanies his father on extraordinary adventures investigating scientific mysteries.

While Adrian and Daniel will both in hand to produce the flick, also to be named "Jonny Quest," for Warner Bros. Pictures, Dan Mazeau is lending his hand writing the script.

"This is our Pirates. Our Transformers. We've been working on this for a year. Meeting with writers, hearing different people's takes on it. We always knew we wanted to do an origin movie about how Race and Hadji came to join the Quest family. Dan Mazeau's take is the ULTIMATE version of that. He's going to be one of the biggest writers in Hollywood. He's already one of the hottest. As for tone, this isn't going to be some kiddie movie. Our model is Raiders. 4-quadrant? Absolutely. But with that bite or edge that made Pirates so cool," Daniel said on the film project.

There's no word just yet on casting or production dates.
