British singer Amy Winehouse is set to appear as the cover girl of the American version of Vogue magazine next month, it has been reported.

AceShowbiz - The messy girl turns feminine. Amy Winehouse is showing off her girlie power, revealed her intention to set up a beauty salon should her singing career comes to an end.

"I'd love to have a beauty salon. My grandmother, God rest her soul, pretty much trained me and my brother. He'd give her a pedicure and I'd do her nails and her hair," the British singer was quoted as saying.

Lucky for her that hubby Blake Fielder-Civil also shows some support. "(When we first met) my mum had just bought a hair salon. Amy came to see it and loved the idea because she likes doing girls' hair and making people feel good," so said Blake.

In other Winehouse news, she has been tapped to pose as the cover star on the American version of Vogue magazine next month, thanks to her album "Back to Black" and unique sense of style that wowed the mag's aditor Anna Wintour. As for this venture, the British singer already took part in a photo shoot with renowned snapper Bruce Weber in Miami, Florida last month.

"An order from Anna Wintour is like a royal command and the order was 'Get me Amy'. Anna loved Amy's album so much that she just had to have her. But at the end of the day it's not just about the music, it's about her rawness, her kooky style and her outspokenness," a source told British newspaper The Mirror. "She's very much a one-off, but incredibly talented with it."
