Sources for IESB.net claimed Sam Raimi has received offer from Legendary and Warner Bros. to direct the flick.

AceShowbiz - Seems someone has already been eyed to take directing reins on Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures' mythology flick "Clash of the Titans." IESB.net has come up with a very interesting tidbit from its sources claiming the two film companies are keen to have Sam Raimi as the director of the project, a remake of Desmond Davis' 1981 cult classic of the same name.

The site further informed that the "Spider-Man" trilogy helmer so far is the only one being tipped for the position while also pointing out that Warner Bros. may have offered him everything "under the sun" as the studio is willing to do anything to lock the man into a multi-picture deal.

Since there is no confirmation coming from either the studios or Raimi, do consider this as no more than just a speculation for now. In the meantime, don't forget to look up for updates regarding this matter on this site.

The new version of "Titans", which chronicles the journey of Perseus in saving Princess Andromeda, has been known to be a long-gestating project at Warner Bros, being switching screenwriters for three times since 2002. The first one were duo John Glenn and Travis Adam Wright who then got replaced by Travis Beacham May last year. In mid April this year, however, the seat was handed out to four-time Oscar-nominated writer/director/producer Lawrence Kasdan.
