AceShowbiz - Arranging a high-profile list of film features showcased, organizers of the Deauville Festival of American Cinema have finally unveiled the lineup on Monday, July 30 in their celebration of the event for the thirty-third time this year.
While includes recent U.S. releases of "Fay Grim", "1408", and "Knocked Up", the festival delightfully gives large portion to the new Hollywood fare, listing up those such as "Death at a Funeral", "The Heartbreak Kid", "Shoot 'Em Up", and "The Bourne Ultimatum."
Also included are pics that will make their Venice bows this year, like Western drama "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford", Iraq-themed drama "In the Valley of Elah", and Tony Gilroy-directed "Michael Clayton."
Meanwhile, it is further learned that there will only be two movies encountering their world premieres at the event, one being Sidney Lumet's latest work "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" and the other "Gone Baby Gone", a drama mystery marking the the full-length directorial debut of Hollywood hunk Ben Affleck.
Established by Lionel Chouchan and Andre Halimi, Deauville Festival of American Cinema is a yearly film event devoted to American cinema that has been taking place since 1975 in Deauville, France. This year's edition will run from August 31 up to September 9 while paying homage to actor Michael Douglas by screening a selection of his movies that includes his latest one, "King of California."
