Malin Akerman and Matthew Goode are both being said to have landed the role of The Silk Spectre and Oxymandias, respectively, in Zack Snyder's "Watchmen."

AceShowbiz - Talks on "Watchmen" cast seems to never reach an end despite the building expectation on the revelation of the lineup at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con held July 26-29 this year.

Latino Reviews has learned from its chronic scooper that Canadian actress Malin Akerman has secured a starring slot in the long-gestating superhero movie as Sally Jupiter aka The Silk Spectre. The heroine is described to be a former crime-fighter who lives with the powerful entity Dr. Manhattan, said to be played by Billy Crudup.

In related news, IESB.net has brought in report stating "Match Point" star Matthew Goode has been billed to portray Adrian Veidt aka Ozymandias, deemed "the smartest man on the planet" among his ilk. Goode, a native of Exeter, England, is last seen in Scott Frank-directed thriller drama "The Lookout" and next will appear as Charles Ryder in Miramax Films' upcoming release of "Brideshead Revisited."

An adaptation of the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons 12-issue comic book, "Watchmen" has been confirmed to be directed by "300" helmer Zack Snyder who is set to carry out the task from script penned by Alex Tse. Speculated cast is said to also consist of Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach and Patrick Wilson as Nite Owl.
