Emma Watson's official site has stated that the young actress will voice Princess Pea in Universal Pictures' upcoming animated flick "The Tale of Despereaux."

AceShowbiz - Slated to have another big screen stint besides her only role of Hermione Granger in "Harry Potter" series, Emma Watson has taken part to provide the voice of Princess Pea in the upcoming animated feature "The Tale of Despereaux", her official site has claimed.

Based on Kate DiCamillo's best-selling fantasy book of the same name, pic tells about the tale of three unlikely heroes - a misfit mouse who prefers reading books to eating them, an unhappy rat who schemes to leave the darkness of the dungeon, and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears - whose fates are intertwined with that of the castle's princess.

A production of Universal Pictures, pic has already tapped Sam Fell, Gary Ross, and Robert Stevenhagen to all direct from script penned by Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi. Also included in the voice cast are Justin Long, Dustin Hoffman, William H. Macy, and Robbie Coltrane among others, the latter one, like Watson, being the original cast member of "Potter" series as well.
