Steve Martin has proposed to girlfriend Anne Stringfield, a Vogue journalist, and the couple is set to tie the knot soon.

AceShowbiz - The search of a soul mate comes to an end already. Steve Martin has found the love of his life. The actor-comedian has proposed to girlfriend, Anne Stringfield, and they will tie the knot soon.
No details being made public on the couple's engagement nor do on their upcoming wedding, except that Stringfield is a former New Yorker journalist, who has recently been writing for US Vogue.
Martin, best known for his portrayal as George Banks in "Father of the Bride" (1991) and "Father of the Bride Part II" (1995), was previously married to Victoria Tenant from 1986 to 1994. After that he dated actress Anne Heche.
Meanwhile, Martin is said to have finished writing his memoirs, titled "Born Standing Up," in which he recalled how he was once severely beaten by his father. The book is scheduled to be released December later this year.
