"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" topples down "Transformers" to claim the top position on the list.

AceShowbiz - Looks like people coming to theaters have been deeply under spell over the weekend with the arrival of the fifth installment of the mega-hit fantasy franchise, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

Already raked in nearly $65 million throughout its Wednesday (July 11) and Thursday (July 12) screenings, the teen wizard tale effortlessly pulls fantastic sum of $77.1 million from 4,285 cinemas, including those of IMAX, to thereby collect a total domestic gross of $139.7 million so far and take over the top spot of the box office running July 13-15, 2007 from sci-fi actioner "Transformers."

Though pushed one step down to be the runner-up, the DreamWorks-Paramount Pictures release still scores big at $37 million, over twice larger than $18 million Disney/Pixar's "Ratatouille" has managed to collect this time. Trailing behind to make up the top five of the chart are "Live Free or Die Hard" and "License to Wed" for respective income of $11.3 million and $7.3 million.

The sixth place, in the meantime, goes to Mikael Hafstrom-directed horror thriller "1408" which keeps doing well in the competition by adding another $4.9 million to its pocket, slightly outdistancing the $4.895 million big-budgeted comedy "Evan Almighty" has garnered. The next positions up to number ten are secured by Universal Pictures-produced acclaimed comedy "Knocked Up" with $3.7 million, Michael Moore's documentary "Sicko" with $2.6 million, and caper movie "Ocean's Thirteen" with $1.98 million.
