Prince's deal with Mail to attach his new CD with the newspaper has caused a stir in U.K.'s music industry.

AceShowbiz - Prince's new CD give away turns out not the best decision after all. The singer has angered record stores and the entire U.K. music industry in general for the almost free gift.

Prince's new album "Planet Earth" will come this Sunday (July 15) with the purchase of Mail at $2.80. Music moguls have criticized this act as very destructive to the already declining CD sales. Even Sony BMG in U.K. that serves as Prince's label has pulled off their marketing of the record.

"It is an insult to all those record stores who have supported Prince throughout his career," Paul Quirk, co-chairman of Entertainment Retailers Association said. The album's official release is scheduled for July 24 with U.K. release date on July 16.

Adding the chaos and feud, HMV that distributes books, records and magazines has decided to retail the newspaper out of turn. The company has previously against the giveaway but in the end they decided to participate. "Like it or not, selling the newspaper is the only way to make the Prince album available to our customers," a rep from HMV said.

Prince will also attach his album with 21 London concerts tickets that are sold for 37.21.
