Sam Raimi Reveals Thought on
Movie

Director of the first three "Spider-Man" Sam Raimi talked to MTV News about his thought on the next installment in the franchise.

AceShowbiz - In his first post-"Spider-Man 3" interview, the franchise director Sam Raimi eagerly told MTV News what he has in mind about "Spider-Man 4" which Sony Pictures has officially confirmed to be made along with two other installments.

Confessing he does not know what his future holds yet regarding the franchise, the noted filmmaker, however, did admit that he would love to get back for the fourth part if there is a great story to tell to yet leaves it up to Sony Pictures for the decision.

"I would still hope that Sony would offer it to me [to direct] first," so he said. "But that is not my place to say; it would be more about if Sony decided not to go with me. If not, it would be really up to them to come to a solution [for me to still be involved as a producer]."

Amidst the uncertainty, Raimi turns out to already have visions on the villains he would like to feature in the project if Sony indeed lets him stay in the mega-hit series.

"I would love to see Electro, Vulture, maybe the Sinister Six as a team," he revealed, adding that he also hoped to give a try on the transformation of Peter Parker's ally Dr. Curt Connors into super-villain the Lizard.

"The Lizard is probably one of my favorite characters," the man admitted. "But ['Spider-Man 4'] will probably have to start with the central journey of the main character to arrive at the proper villain."
