A British judge has sentenced George Michael to perform 100 hours of community service for his case of driving under the influence of drugs.

Yes, the "Faith" singer finally can escape the jail time that has threatened him since being found driving under the influence of drugs last October. A British judge has eventually ruled that he is obliged to perform one hundred hours of community service over the next twelve months for the misdemeanor.
Along with the sentence, the man also gets banned from driving for the next two years and ordered to pay a fine of $4,622.
Michael, the former member of British pop duo Wham!, was arrested in London October 1 after being found to be virtually asleep at the wheel of his car which blocked a busy roadway. He pleaded guilty May 8 to a charge of driving while unfit through drugs, saying he "did something very stupid" and was "very ashamed since doing it."
With the threat of jail time not haunting him anymore, the 43-year-old entertainer now is getting determined to put his focus back on his singing career, having already been plotted to play two gigs at London's rebuilt Wembley Stadium this weekend.
"I am glad to put this behind me," so he said outside the court, "and am now off to do the biggest show of my life."
