The 20th Century Fox is holding the best "real-life" Springfield competition for USATODAY.com readers to vote for the winner.

AceShowbiz - The fictional city of Springfield has been widely known to be the hometown of the world's family of comedy, none other than The Simpsons, but soon there will be the real-life version of it, thanks to USA Today.
Yes, in celebrating the coming of "The Simpsons Movie" this summer, the 20th Century Fox has selected fourteen cities to compete to be the best "real-life" Springfield which will be determined based on the votes drawn from USATODAY.com readers.
Participants chosen are communities from Massachusetts, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, New Jersey, Florida, Michigan, Kentucky, Nebraska, Colorado, Louisiana, and Vermont (Township). Those who would like to compete are required to submit short films of three-five minutes long showcasing each community's "Simpson Spirit" up to June 28.
In doing so, each participating community will be provided with key Simpson's filmmaking tools, including a digital video camera and "The Simpsons Movie" couch theatre display as well as "The Simpsons Movie" posters, digital files of the film's logo, and character art. Entrants then are advised to send their works to The Simpson's Movie Springfield Challenge, Attn: Gwyne Ortiz, Twentieth Century Fox, 10201 W. Pico Blvd., 88/3023, Los Angeles, CA 90035.
All films submitted thereafter will be posted on USATODAY.com for the readers to vote their favorite "Hometown Movie." Polling closes on July 9 with the winner being announced on or about July 10 to get a special "Hometown Premiere" of "The Simpsons Movie" on July 26.
Directed by David Silverman, "Simpsons Movie" still features voice cast from the original TV series like Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, and Hank Azaria. Fox has set July 27, 2007 as the release date of the flick in North America.
