After weeks of a rumored rift, Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have officially called it quits, People magazine reported.

AceShowbiz - It's over. After weeks of persistent rumors Jessica Simpson and John Mayer finally come to the surface with official statement claiming they have called it quits. And this time on is for good, People magazine claimed.
"It has been rocky and it had been rocky, and it reached the end of the road," a source close to the rocker told the publication. "It is definitely over, the relationship has ended." Jess' parties, meanwhile, also confirm the split yet saying that there will always chance for them to get back together.
"They broke up Sunday night, but who knows what the future will hold," a source close to the actress-singer said. "This is the twelfth time they've broken up. Their relationship is volatile. Last week they felt better than ever. This week, things are rocky. Who knows what the future will bring."
Jess and Mayer have dated on and off for over the past year. The couple split briefly last month, only to reconcile days later. And that's all there is, reconciliation doesn't work for now, as Mayer source claims, "Every relationship has its differences, but with Jessica and John those differences were starting to become more and more apparent."
