Amy Winehouse Given Ivor for
Music

Her song "Rehab" has won Amy Winehouse a statuette in 2007 Ivor Novello Awards.

AceShowbiz - Looks like it's the year for Amy Winehouse. Apart from chart topping album, happiness of newly wed, and not mentioning a worldwide exposure for career, she had just won the Ivor Novello Award for "Rehab".

Initially in US, she flew back to her country to receive the Best Contemporary Song honor. "Thank you all very much," said the 23 years old singer. "I didn't even have time to get drunk - I've only been here about 15 minutes." This winning is her second as she won the same category in 2004 through the song "Stronger Than Me".

Other recipients in the songwriting award event are Arctic Monkeys (Best Album for "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not"), Scott Matthews ( Best Song for "Elusive", Madonna and Stuart Price (International Hit of the Year for "Sorry" and Elton John, Scott Hoffman and Jason Sellards (Most performed Work for Scissor Sisters' "I Don't Feel Like Dancing").

For the two prestigious nominations, Lifetime Achievement Award goes to ex- Genesis frontman Peter Gabriel while Songwriter of the Year goes to London band The Feeling.

Kelly Osbourne meanwhile, has sparked rumor that she will do a duet with her friend Winehouse. She told MTV UK, "I want to collaborate with one of my friends but I have to finish my TV projects first."
