Sandra Bullock is poised to be the leadstar in Touchstone Pictures' new romantic comedy "The Proposal."

AceShowbiz - Creating a chain of comedic roles, Sandra Bullock has submitted into her acting list another stint for a rom-com flick entitled "The Proposal" behind those in "All About Steve", "One of the Guys", and "Kiss & Tango."
Written by first-time scribe Peter Chiarelli, the project centers on a demanding female boss faced with deportation to Canada who agrees to strike an engagement and marriage with her young male assistant. Chiarelli previously worked as the director of development at MGM, supervising production of "The Pink Panther" and "The Amityville Horror."
Name to direct has not yet announced, but it is learned that Mandeville's David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will both serve as the producers for Touchstone Pictures with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci executive producing.
