Though not exactly making a big reunion, the members of Spice Girls are reported back to the studio for a joint project.

AceShowbiz - Several rumors after, Spice Girls are again reported reuniting, this time for a single. It turns out the Christmas thing that erupted last month indeed has something true as some of the girls are spotted back to the studio for UK Christmas number one.

Emma Bunton and Geri Haliwell were seen leaving a Brighton recording studio and could hardly contain their joy by hugging and laughing. Paparazzi even managed to catch the moment after the two walked out of their old producer, Richard Stannard's house for a session. A source claimed "It's phenomenal news for them, and the girls are really excited."

Bunton, Haliwell and Melanie C (who had made opposing statements) are the three band members who have done the early recording. The rest such as Victoria Adams and Melanie Brown who are both still in LA, will do their part next month.

Spice Girls had three consecutive UK Christmas number ones at the height of their success. The song "2 Become 1" topped the charts in 1996, followed by "Too Much" in 1997 and "Goodbye" in the next year.
