AceShowbiz - Good news for Paris Hilton. The hotel heiress, who has been sentenced to 45-days in prison for a driving offence, is having the sentence reduced due to her good behavior, which none other than showed up at her most recent court date.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has decided it will cut the socialite's sentence after reviewing the case and giving her credit for good behavior. That's not all, Paris would, in addition to the reduced sentence, be held separately from other inmate in a special-needs housing unit made up of 12 two-person cells.

Confirming that matter, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore explained, "I want to emphasize that her sentence has not been cut. But under Los Angeles county regulations she will receive good-behavior credits at the start of her sentence. Provided she behaves well, she could be released after 23 days."

Not long after the confirmation, Paris' lawyers reportedly withdrew an appeal lodged at from Los Angeles Superior Court. A court spokeswoman confirmed Paris' lawyers had filed a notice of abandonment for the appeal, saying "They have withdrawn the appeal."
