Apart from the DUI case, there is something new about rapper Eve. Her upcoming album "Here I Am" can be said a more subdued version compared to the previous ones. She can actually be heard 'singing' in a bunch of songs.

Taking the example of Pharrell Williams-produced track "All Night Long", Eve said that she only managed to slip in 8 bars of rap. Initially, the song did not work in her favor for fear that she wouldn't sing it well onstage.

"I'm not trying to blow at all, because I'm not that kind of singer," Eve said. "But it's nerve-racking. I'm used to going in the booth and doing what I have to do and then I'm out. With singing, it becomes a chore. But it's one of my favorite songs on the album now."

"All Night Long" may be her favorite and "Tambourine" may be first single, but the buzz song is pointed to the track "Cash Flow" featuring T.I. "Cash Flow" along with "Tambourine" and "Ain't Nothing Change' have made their way to the internet and eventually made available in her myspace page. The album itself is only set to release on August 7 via Geffen Records.

The rapper also made comment on recent debate towards the use of language in hip-hop music. Instead of agreeing, as a female rapper she stated that there are plenty more important issues to be touched like domestic violence rather than scrutinizing the lyrics and focusing it on hip-hop.

"So it makes me mad that the fingers are being pointed at hip-hop for those certain words. There are movies that come out every year where a woman is being smacked up and beat down by a man. Let's talk about domestic violence. No men will stand up. They want to say, 'I want to take these certain words out of a song.' But a lot of men that are hitting women won't stand up and say, 'You know what? I'm gonna stop hitting my women today.' That's what we need to be fighting. Stuff like that. There are a lot of different issues."
