Zach Braff informed VH1.com that Cory Edwards has been tapped to direct "Andrew Henry's Meadow" , the adventure drama he penned for the 20th Century Fox.

AceShowbiz - Turns out the guy is Cory Edwards instead of Barry Sonnenfeld in the end. Despite talks saying the latter being in talks to direct "Andrew Henry's Meadow", "Scrubs" star Zach Braff has surprisingly revealed to VH1.com that the duty has already been given to the former one instead.
Braff, whose latest starring vehicle "The Ex" has just opened in theaters Friday, May 11, previously was reported to have signed deal to write for the project together with his brother, Adam J. Braff. Pic is based on a children book of the same name authored by Doris Burn.
"[Adam] and I came up with a story based on a children's book that we both loved as kids... It's a big-kid's adventure movie," so Braff remarked. "We describe it as if Terry Gilliam had directed 'The Goonies.'"
Thereby will be Edwards' first live-action feature, the flick revolves around the titular character who sets off to build a house for himself in the meadow after getting frustrated when his family doesn't appreciate his amazing inventions. No word yet on production schedule, but it is confirmed that John Davis will produce for the 20th Century Fox with the Braffs also executive producing.
