James Purefoy to Celebrate the
Movie

British actor James Purefoy is in talks to join Nia Vardalos in rom-com flick "I Hate Valentine's Day."

AceShowbiz - Set to ride on his next big screen vehicle after "Goose on the Loose", James Purefoy is currently involved in negotiations for the role of a British guy in romantic comedy "I Hate Valentine's Day", a collaborative production of Blue Star Entertainment and Lorimont Productions.

Already cast in Nia Vardalos, who also pens the script, the flick centers on a commitment-phobic woman who closely adheres to a set of dating rules but finds them put to the test when she falls for a man who dumps her.

"He's mischievous and dirty on the phone, so he's a joy to write for," Vardalos commented about Purefoy. "The part was written for an American guy in mind, but I'm now revamping the script to make it about a British guy who doesn't understand the ways of American women."

Filming on the movie is slated to begin July 3 in Toronto, Canada under the direction of English helmer Nick Hurran with Madeleine Sherak, William Sherak, and Jason Shuman all serving as producers. Hurran's recent works included 2004's "Little Black Book" and 2006's "It's a Boy Girl Thing", which he made for Revolution Studios and Icon Entertainment International, respectively.
