NSYNC Has to Answer a
Music

Abolished pop band NSYNC and its latest recording house Jive are facing a lawsuit over plagiarism.

AceShowbiz - Even five years after its hiatus in 2002, pop band NSYNC is still answering 'demand'. This time the group should react upon the lawsuit from man name Troy Alexander who claims that they have stolen his song.

The problematic track is apparently "Up Against the Wall" that is available in the band's latest record "Celebrity". Troy who is a musician professed that he had brought the same song to Jive Records in 1990 and provided the demo tape. According to him, instead of contacting for a copyright, Jive issued the tune for NSYNC in 2001.

As a result, NSYNC along with Jive Records are facing the court battle which can cost them around $10 million. Troy's lawyer stated that this battle is more into the lyrics instead of the sound since the song title bears a total similarity. There has been no meaningful response from Jive Rec side except for a representation who claims to never receive any legal papers.
