Naomi Campbell kept a diary while she spent five days mopping, sweeping and scrubbing toilets in Manhattan after throwing a phone at a maid.

AceShowbiz - Naomi Campbell learned one or two things from her community service. Already experienced blessing in disguise, the supermodel presents the "confession of a toilet scrubber," revealing extracts of her diaries during her community service.

Campbell, who spent five days mopping, sweeping and scrubbing toilets in Manhattan, wrote a diary of the days in which she talks about taking responsibility for her actions and bonding with her co-workers. The New York Post published the extracts of the diary entries Monday May 7th.

The catwalk queen among others wrote, "I find solace in sweeping. I have no other responsibility. I have no phone. I have the time to think. Just have, you know, peace."

Further she went on writing, "As we were working, one of my co-workers tells me how he ended up here, which was basically because of alcohol. I bond with him, and I tell him I'm in recovery. What I came to realize is that I had to surrender. I'm such a controlling person, but I had to just let go and let something higher than me be in control of my destiny. You have to let yourself become vulnerable again. Some people can handle a drink or a line of cocaine, but I've finally come to realize that, for me, it's all or nothing - and it has to be nothing. And my life has changed since."

The overall extracts of the diary entries, accompanied by shots of Campbell on her lunch break and arriving for work took by photographer pal Steven Klein, will appear in the upcoming June issue of W magazine.

Campbell was sentenced to the community service after being found guilty in January to a misdemeanor charge of reckless assault for attacking her former housekeeper Ana Scolavino.
