James Brown's son Daryl intends to keep his father's music alive by touring with The Soul Generals.

AceShowbiz - The late "Godfather of Soul" James Brown was commemorated on May 3, the day of what would have been his 74th birthday. Family members including son Daryl Brown vowed to continue the legend's legacy in music industry.
Daryl in particular is eager to tour with The Soul Generals, a band that backed his father for 2 decades. Playing guitar and taking the role as the frontman, he made the May 3 event the first show that the group does. The band also plans to play at New York's Apollo Theatre that marked James' first success in music back in 1956.
"We're the only ones who can keep his legacy alive. It'll be a tribute to him for the rest of the year. We'll bring the music back. Some people have been trying to talk bad about us, saying we couldn't perform without him. We're going to show them. It's pretty hot. Once they get an earful, they'll see. He is dead but his music lives on," Daryl said.
Daryl also revealed that each member would get its turn to do a song instead of him bombarding the classics. Daryl's sister Venisha is also eager to join in reviving their father's stage persona.
