"Spider-Man 3" reportedly will have numerous midnight screenings on Thursday, May 3, 2007 prior to its theatrical release on the day after.

AceShowbiz - For those who just can't wait little longer to see "Spider-Man 3" as it opens this Friday, May 4, do empty your schedule on Thursday night, May 3 for Sony reportedly is adding numerous midnight screenings of the flick that day.

Reports informed that the third part of the web-slinging superhero tale would be released on several screens virtually at the same time in some megaplexes where a single print can be spooled out from one projection booth to another. Seems no need to worry about running out of tickets then.

Meanwhile, Megabox-Cineplex has stated that the picture will be delivered to the theaters' digital projection systems from a centralized server, using the theater owners' own fiber-optic cable and so, reducing the chance that hackers or pirates can intercept it.

The latest installment of the mega-hit franchise based on legendary Marvel Comics character, "Spider-Man 3" continues the story of our titular superhero who this time has to face the battle of his life against two of the most feared villains ever whose unparalleled power and thirst for retribution threaten him and everyone he loves. Famed filmmaker Sam Raimi returns to the director's seat with Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin again serving as producers.
