Kelly Clarkson Gets 'Wilder' in New LP

Kelly Clarkson has slowly turns into pop/rock direction which is shown much thicker in the third album "My December"

AceShowbiz - With anticipation running up and down for Kelly Clarkson's "My December", the artist added it by finishing the video for first single "Never Again". Featured in the new single is an angry young woman who fortifies the 'wilder' side of Kelly.

The shooting of "Never Again" was finished in three days between April 11-13 and takes place primarily in an airport where she 'haunts' an ex. In the lyrics meanwhile, Kelly shouts out to the ex who left her to marry another woman by saying "I hope the ring you gave her turns her finger green/ I hope when you're in bed with her, you think of me."

Kelly who had gone a little bit pop rock in the last single "Since U Been Gone", shows a thicker version in this piece which she think is 'cool'. "I love any kind of rock chick who's just totally into what she's doing," she said. "What's funny is that we now think of her as a rock icon, but she was pretty pop as well. And I'm pretty pop too - I'm a rock/pop girl, which is cool with me."

As part of the third album which is due mid 2007, "Never Again" almost didn't make it to the LP. It was a piece that she wrote almost two years ago but thought too 'nasty' for 2004 album "Breakaway". She said, "I was in a totally different place when I wrote it, so it's weird to sing the song and do the video and have to get really into it. But it's a fun song, and that's why we kept it. It's just got such great energy. It's so blunt - I was so angry - and it reads so well, so we just went with it."

While "My December" is aimed for summer release, "Never Again" has been circulated in radios and will hit the US stores April 23.
