"Shrek the Third" features lots of classic that will nail the movie down to the core with the help from Fergie, Led Zeppelin and Macy Gray.

AceShowbiz - The anticipation of "Shrek the Third" premiere will be celebrated three days earlier with the release of the soundtrack. Besides involving the star to contribute songs, Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie, Led Zeppelin, Wings, Ramones and Harry Chapin are growing the list.
Fergie will cover rock band Heart's song titled "Barracuda" while Eddie Murphy who starred as Donkey in the film performs duets with "Puss in Boots" character Antonio Banderas in Sly & the Family Stone's smash hit "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)".
The record also includes classics from the original singers such as Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song", Wings' "Live and Let Die", Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle", Ramones' "Do You Remember Rock'n'Roll Radio" and Eels' "Royal Pain". The remaining tracks come from Wolfmother, Macy Gray, Matt White and Trevor Hall.
The soundtrack album will be out May 15 via Geffen. The first two soundtrack records were sold nearly 3.6 million, thanks to Murphy's cover of "I'm a Believer" and "Livin' La Vida Loca".
