Madonna has returned to Malawi Monday April 16th amid rumors she is in the process of adopting.

AceShowbiz - It keeps going the way it's going. Madonna arrived in Malawi Monday April 16th amid rumors she's planning for another adoption.

Not taking into account the persistent rumors, the pop singer jetted into one of the poorest countries in Africa and one of the worst hit by the AIDS pandemic. Came along with her is adopted son David Banda and daughter Lourdes.

Welcomed to Mtenje village, around 60 kilometers (38 miles) from the capital Lilongwe, Madonna was shown a fish pond project run by the villagers and funded by the UN to help enrich the protein intake of the villagers.

Spending about half an hour at the village, the star remained tight-lipped to reporters nor the villagers. She is expected to take Banda to see his father on Tuesday April 17th at the Home of Hope orphanage where he lived before he left Malawi.

Denying the adoption speculation, Madonna's New York-based publicist Liz Rosenberg said the star was visiting to continue her work with her Raising Malawi organization, confirming in a statement, "She is overseeing the building of a children's health care center. She is absolutely not adopting another baby."

Besides her Raising Malawi organization, Madonna also is paying for a new clinic to be built in the village of Gumulira and is supporting efforts by aid groups to help improve food security and education there.
