Shia LaBeouf Positively Cast in
Movie

Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have both confirmed that Shia LaBeouf is officially joining the cast of "Fourth Installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures."

AceShowbiz - Well, turns out that Variety's report back in March about Shia LaBeouf's inclusion in "Fourth Installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures" appears to be true indeed despite the actor's denial shortly thereafter.

Director Steven Spielberg and executive producer George Lucas finally announced on April 13, 2007 that the "Transformers" star is officially cast in the highly anticipated project, which is scheduled to enter production June this year. What role the young actor will play, however, is still undisclosed apart from his remark that it will be "sort of the sidekick character."

"We are excited about bringing Shia into our Indy family," Spielberg said in a statement. "His talent has impressed not only his audiences throughout his young career but the directors, producers and fellow actors who have worked with him in his television career and now his film career."

The follow-up to 1989's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", pic will be developed based on script penned by David Koepp under Lucasfilm Ltd. for Paramount Pictures to release throughout the globe beginning May 22, 2008. Accompanying Lucas on the executive producer's seat is Kathleen Kennedy with Frank Marshall producing.
