No Reunion for Wham!

Fans of Wham! have to give up upon the reunion of the duo as George Michael puts forward.

AceShowbiz - Following the reunion of bands such as Take That and The Smashing Pumpkins, there are now rumors that Wham! would do the same. Speaking on behalf of the duo, George Michael laughed this off.

Michael thinks the reformation of Wham! would be one foolish step. He said, "We were at an age where how you were developing as a person was just as important as the songs you were writing. It all made sense then but at this point, a Wham! reunion doesn't make any sense."

Michel is also afraid that the reunion will be a ridiculous act. "It would be almost as bad as Sex Pistols when they reformed. I've never been tempted because Wham! was of its time. When the group started Andrew and I were both kids."

Wham! dissolved in 1986 when Michael wanted to concentrate on solo career. As the last act, the duo performed at Wembley Stadium on June 28, 1986 in a concert dubbed The Final. The two embraced in an emotional goodbye both to the audience and to each other. They had been making music together for 5 years and sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.
