Live Earth Concerts, Big Event with Big Lineups

To name a few, there are Madonna, Akon, Keane, Paolo Nutini who will headline the concerts that will blow out the audience with more than 100 acts.

AceShowbiz - Held on July 7, 2007 across 7 continents, Live Earth Concerts self-declares that it is an event that is worth it. Lineups for both UK and US have been announced and they are the ones who will attract billions of audience and promote the fight against global warming.

Performing at London's Wembley Stadium are Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas, Bloc Party, Corinne Bailey Rae, Damien Rice, David Gray, Duran Duran, Foo Fighters, Genesis, James Blunt, John Legend, Keane, Madonna, Paolo Nutini, Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snow Patrol.

US' Giants Stadium meanwhile, will be filled with AFI, Akon, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Fall Out Boy, John Mayer, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson, KT Tunstall, Ludacris, Melissa Etheridge, Rihanna, Roger Waters, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Police.

Besides the two venues, there will be other concerts in China's Steps of the Oriental Pearl Tower, South Africa's Johannesburg Cradle of Human Kind, Australia's Sydney Aussie Stadium, Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach and Japan's Tokyo Dome. However, there has been no announcement for these venues' lineups.

Tickets for UK gig are allocated through ballot and there will be a 72-hour registration period that starts from April 13 at 1200 BST. Tickets priced at �55 each and are limited to two per applicant. Seek more information on livenation.co.uk.

Not all fun and pure entertainment, there's a bigger purpose behind all of this. "By attracting an audience of billions, we hope Live Earth will launch a global campaign giving a critical mass of people around the world the tools they need to help solve the climate crisis," said former US vice president Al Gore, who is one of the organizers. Money raised from the tickets sale will go to Alliance for Climate Protection, the Climate Group and Stop Climate Chaos.
