More Details on Bjork's
Music

With the album's release date coming nearer, Bjork has prepared the first single, the design and also the track listing.

AceShowbiz - More details have been revealed in Bjork's upcoming album "Volta" including the list of tracks, the album's artwork and the first single release.

There will be 10 tracks in the album that is due May 8 via Atlantic Records and while it still keeps her trademark of using lots of instruments in her music, this time Bjork adds more human vocal to the contemplative songs. She pours her 'aggressiveness' in songs like "Earth Intruders," "Vertebrae by Vertebrae" and "Declare Independence", in the sense that they feature her high pitch tunes. Some of the songs are on the other hand, 'milder' like the self-explanatory "Hope", love song "Dull Flame of Desire" and also motherhood telling "My Juvenile".

The artwork for Volta meanwhile, has all the bright colors splashed into unusual shapes. This cover can be seen at bjork.com. Upon the design Bjork said, "It was a magical atmosphere in the photo shoot. It was kind of fun, because it wasn't about me, it was about this sort of spirit of--like a woman who is kind of...into rave, no I'm just kidding. Like, a sort of celebration of that ancient, but at the same time kind of neon."

"Earth Intruders" is selected to be the first single released and is available via iTunes starting from April 9. For the overall mood of "Volta", Bjork summarizes it as "All I wanted to do for this album was just to have fun and do something that was full-bodied and really up."
