Chris Sanders Experiences an
Movie

Former Disney animator Chris Sanders has been picked up by DreamWorks Animation to direct its cavemen comedy "Crood Awakening."

AceShowbiz - Leaving Disney after a nearly twenty-year stint there does not mean that Chris Sanders has no clue of his next destination at all. Variety has brought in delightful report saying that the animation veteran for now is settling at DreamWorks Animation to direct the company's cavemen comedy "Crood Awakening."

DreamWorks initially developed the project with Bristol-based Aardman Studios, but finally concluded to set it up on its own after its partnership with the British claymation house recently came to its end.

Set in the prehistoric era, "Awakening" will center on a culture clash between cavemen when a man serving as Leader of the Hunt gets threatened by the arrival of a prehistoric genius who comes up with revolutionary new inventions. Sanders, however, is said to currently be in the state of rethinking the flick and will likely make a rewrite of the script originally penned by British comedy icon John Cleese and Kirk De Micco.
