Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas to Appear in
Movie

Robert Rodriguez has told MTV that the sequels to "Sin City" may have Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas as one of the stars.

AceShowbiz - Is it possible to see the "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" duo of Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas take part in the "Sin City" franchise? To helmer Robert Rodriguez, who directs all the movies, the answer could simply be 'yes.'

In an interview about two future adaptations of the Frank Miller popular graphic novel held by MTV, the famed filmmaker has hinted that "Sin City 3" will likely be made based on "Hell and Back" storyline while revealing to have Depp in mind to assume the lead role of Wallace in the project.

Talking about the Oscar-nominated actor, Rodriquez opened up interesting tidbit that Depp actually was interested in playing the role of Jackie Boy that Benicio Del Toro portrayed in "Sin City", but could not make serious talks about it due to scheduling conflict with "The Libertine."

"There is a better role for him in ['Hell and Back']," Rodriquez told MTV. "I kept going, 'Gosh, Jackie Boy is a small part, he could be really good [as Wallace].'"

Though there is no deal put in place yet for Depp for now, Rodriquez was noticed to be coyly confident that he would have the versatile thespian onboard to star. In the meantime, the guy openly expressed his enthusiasm on the potential casting of Banderas yet did not give any indications whether the Spanish actor would be tipped for "Sin City 2" or "3" or even both.

"When I showed him the first sample of the work, he went, 'Man I'll do anything in that. I'll be the hunchback. You have to bring me onboard, that looks amazing,'" he recalled. "So Frank met him that time too and he said, 'I have got to find something for that guy. I've never met him before. He's amazing.' [So we're] looking at the cast of characters and [looking] to see where he can fit."
