NarniaWeb.com revealed that the villainous King Miraz in "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" would be played by Italian actor Sergio Castellitto.

AceShowbiz - Looks like the major cast lineup of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" is finally completed.

NarniaWeb.com, a comprehensive fan site dedicated to the series, has claimed that filmmakers of the flick has at last given the major role of King Miraz, usurper to the throne of Telmar and occupier of Narnia, to acclaimed Italian actor Sergio Castellitto, who most recently lent his voice to the French version of Luc Besson's "Arthur and the Invisibles."

Castellitto's appointment is said to confirm the producers' intention to give the Telmarines a Latin-Mediterranean ethnic flavor while keeping the protagonists distinctly British, on the other hand.

Amidst this good news, however, there has come to the surface gloomy rumors that "Caspian" helmer Andrew Adamson may not return to the director's seat for the third installment of the hit franchise, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" and that Neil Burger has been approached to replace him. No official word from both Disney and Walden Media at this point, so stay tuned with this site for further info about the matter.
