Going solo has been a bit worrying for Jarvis Cocker, after his international release, "Jarvis" is going to enter North America soon.

AceShowbiz - Though still active with the band Pulp, Jarvis Cocker is planning to go solo. His album titled "Jarvis" is meant to circulate on April 3 in North America. The album is his first and is distributed through Rough Trade.
The album's international release had begun in November 2006, and he had been worried since, "I was a bit worried of using the same people in Pulp. Maybe it wasn't different enough, but I think people saw that it was." Two members from his band Pulp, Steve Mackey and Richard Hawley are both involved in the making of the album.
The process of the writing itself is started when he moved to Paris with his wife, Camille Bidault-Waddington and son, Albert. Took about three years but started off good, "I had to do a lot up front, and it was quite easy to record. I showed the chords to the guys, and we got it down as quickly as possible. Besides, being in the studio for long periods of time starts to become unhealthy. You smoke too much."
His next schedule is to appear in several shows in end of April, and to show up in the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. Cocker has also worked in the lyric writing for Charlotte Gainsbourg's album "5:55" and song writing in Air's recent album "Pocket Symphony".
Meanwhile, speaking about Pulp's hiatus he indicates that reunion is possible, "I mean, we all get along. No one has died of a drug overdose. But it's not something that we're planning. And no one has driven up with a van full of cash yet."
