AceShowbiz - This just in. David Beckham suffered a knee injury during a Spanish league match.
The soccer god injured his right knee Sunday night March 4th during the second half of his team Real Madrid's 1-1 draw against Getafe. Beckham appeared to sustain the injury after chasing the ball down the sideline during the match. After failing to reach it, he went out of bounds and hit some advertising signs.
The midfielder and former England captain damaged ligaments in his knee, Real Madrid Coach Fabio Capello said on the club's website. He is scheduled to undergo tests Monday march 5th to determine the extent of the injury, and he'll miss his team's next game at Bayern Munich on Wednesday March 7th.
Beckham wasn't the only one injured during the match. Teammate Jose Antonio Reyes also injured a knee and will miss this week's Champions League match as well.
