AceShowbiz - The casting process for "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" keeps moving on despite the flick's in-production status as Italian actor Pierfrancesco Favino has smoothly been added into the list, Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed.

Placed alongside other new names in this second installment of the hit franchise like Peter Dinklage, Ben Barnes, and Alicia Borrachero, Favino is poised to portray Lord Glozelle, the leader of King Miraz's Telmarine troops. Actor to play the king has not yet been revealed.

Targeted for a May 16, 2008 release, "Caspian", like its predecessor "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe", is also based on the C.S. Lewis' children fantasy series. Filming on the movie is currently taking place in Auckland with Andrew Adamson at helm and Mark Johnson plus Philip Steuer producing.

Favino, a native of Rome born on August 24, 1971, has enacted a number of roles in various European features, including "Romanzo Criminale" which won him a David di Donatello Award, the Italian equivalent of the Oscar, in 2006. He is last seen on the big screen playing Christopher Columbus in the 20th Century Fox's hit comedy "Night at the Museum."
