Holly Valance Gets
Movie

Australian starlet Holly Valance has landed a starring slot in action thriller "Taken."

AceShowbiz - Fresh from her role in game-based flick "DOA: Dead or Alive", Holly Valance is reportedly taking her next big screen acting in "Taken", which has just submitted "Lost" star Maggie Grace in the cast lineup.

No word yet on what role the beauty will play, but the film's story centers on a former spy, played by Liam Neeson, who tries to rescue his estranged daughter (Grace) upon learning that she is kidnapped by slave masters in Europe.

A joint production of Luc Besson's Europa Corp. and the 20th Century Fox, the project is set to start filming this month in Paris, France with Pierre Morel at helm. Apart from producing, Besson also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Robert Mark Kamen whom he previously worked with in penning "Bandidas" script.

Valance, also widely known as a singer, encountered her big break in acting through her role in Australian soap opera "Neighbours" which she joined from 1999 to 2002. She then sparked a singing career and reached huge success with single "Kiss Kiss" before returning to the small screen to appear in some U.S. TV series like "CSI: NY", "Entourage", and "Prison Break."
