Clint Eastwood will serve as an executive producer of a documentary feature about Tony Bennett titled "Tony Bennett: The Music Never Ends."

AceShowbiz - Partnering with Netflix, Inc.'s division Red Envelope Entertainment, Clint Eastwood has eagerly signed himself to executive produce a documentary exploring and celebrating the life and career of the legendary recording artist and concert performer, Tony Bennett, Netflix itself has officially announced.

"The coming together of Tony Bennett and Clint Eastwood -- two enduring and iconic figures in the world of American entertainment -- is a cultural flashpoint," Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos commented. "Netflix spearheading this prestigious project showcases our abilities to bring unique content to our subscribers and, in this case, a global audience."

Titled "Tony Bennett: The Music Never Ends", the project was brought to Netflix and Red Envelope by Danny Bennett, president of RPM Productions, on behalf of Bennett and Eastwood. It is currently filmed at locations around the country, including Astoria, Queens in New York City, where Bennett was born, as well as Hollywood, California with Bruce Ricker at helm.

The documentary will follow Bennett's more than 50 years in the music and entertainment industries against the backdrop of a changing America and be highlighted by an on-camera interview conducted by Eastwood that explores the essence of the veteran singer's artistry. Netflix, in association with Red Envelope, is handling all the production and distribution of the film, which is set for a theatrical release this summer.
